An Update From the Team Regarding COVID-19
Our number one priority is the health and safety of our staff and clients. We are continuing to provide our allied health services to help keep everyone moving, out of pain and reaching your health goals at this uncertain time, while undertaking the highest infection control policies and procedures.
Being front line practitioners here at Tablelands Physio means that you don’t have to go to the Doctor to get a referral to see us if you have injured yourself, have pain or need help to get exercising. We can always call your Dr or refer you back if we are concerned about your situation.
As a Practice we are keeping the place super clean, Perri and Sharlene are becoming wipe down goddesses, all the door handles, hard surfaces and equipment and anything that may have been touched. We have all undertaken the Health departments COVID-19 Infection Control Training and we are using top level hospital grade disinfectant to wipe down all surfaces between patients.
We are offering a ‘waiting room in the car’ and you can text us when you arrive, and our fabulous admin will let you know when your therapist is ready to see you. (We have stacks of hand sanitiser for you to use when you enter and leave).
We also have implemented social distancing in the waiting room, and we have moved chairs outside. The gym equipment can be moved outside if the weather permits.
We are all sorted for Telehealth@Tablelands. This means that if we progress further with the Lock Down stages, or if you are unable to attend the practice due to being a high risk group, self-quarantine status or you would prefer to stay at home, we can continue with your physio / exercise physiology sessions as required.
We understand that it will be different, but sometimes there can be a silver lining. With your therapist becoming a “coach” and empowering you (with their guidance) to be able to manage your pain and dysfunction, or to reach your health goals.
If you book an online consultation you will receive an email with a link to connect to the Telehealth consultation. You will be able to use your computer or phone or tablet. We can use audio and video or just audio. It’s not all that hard and hopefully it will all happen seamlessly (fingers crossed).
The main priority is that we are still able to support and provide a high level service to our valued clients throughout this tricky time. We realise that it is difficult and often stressful time for everyone trying to adjust. Don’t forget you need to stay active and going for a bushwalk or a bike ride is a great idea. Scheduling exercise is more important than ever with many kids and parents working from home. Staying connected with friends and extended family is also really important and we are lucky to have such an amazing community, all working together to support each other. Local businesses are going to find it difficult. Buy local where you can.
Tablelands Physio have many ways to keep in contact with you all and up to date with information, these include:
Instagram @tablelandsphysio
Facebook https://www.facebook.com/tablelandsphysio/
We also have a Tablelands Physio VIP Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/375800016360805/ which you can request to join.
These pages and group will be a medium to get info out to everyone, provide tips and tricks, advice and education. We will put up more videos of exercises and advice over the coming weeks and months. The VIP group allows you to directly chat with a therapist to get some quick advice or reassurance. And of course, we will also be available via email and phone.
The main thing is for you to know that the Tablelands Team are here to help and advise you as you need and when you need it. So, stay healthy everyone, wash your hands, stay home where you are able to and lets get this thing squashed.
Cheers,
Sally

What to Expect...
On first presenting to the practice, a full and comprehensive assessment of your problem is undertaken and a plan devised to best treat your specific injury.
The aim is to facilitate the quickest and most optimal return to sport or work utilising an evidence-based approach.
Musculoskeletal physiotherapists generally provide a hands-on treatment approach in conjunction with a tailored exercise program. An injury-specific exercise program enables the client to make faster gains and maintain improvements often without the need for ongoing maintenance treatment.
Exercise Physiologists will also take a history and undertake an assessment, which may include fitness and strength testing. This will be tailored to suit all levels of fitness and strengths

CAN I CLAIM THROUGH MEDICARE?
Some people qualify to claim on five (5) allied health appointments under Medicare in one (1) calendar year. Your doctor will be able to tell you if you are eligible under the enhanced primary care program. You will still need to pay for your visit and we can organise for Medicare to put the refund back into your cheque/savings account on the day. You will need to bring your Eftpos card, Medicare card and the EPC referral from your Doctor. There will be a gap, so please call the practice and chat to Sharlene if you have any questions in regards to this.
